Pligg is great but it doesn't really work as a forum. I feel the old pligg support was much more user friendly and that this format is holding pligg development back. Anyone else agree?
Hey i was wondering if it was possible to manually sticky/feature items at the top of the home page. Is there a module do this? I want to have "editor's picks" at the top, so people can easily see what i think is the best content.
Freshly installed Pligg 2.0.2 and no changes on any settings and template.

All submissions were not successful because it will show: "URL is invalid or blocked:" even though URLs are valid.

Even if Submit > Validate URL is set to false, it still shows that error.
After upgrading to 2.02, i am always getting this error while submitting url
URL is invalid or blocked
I am building up a site at http://dollar.bargains and managed to add a few products in there initially, but have made quite a few changes including to latest version but I can no longer post. Would having $ signs in my category names create an issue ? I don't get an error messages - just nothing posts.

I was able to work and fix all the bugs in the ‘Friend” feature. The linked file, friends-simple-messaging.html, outlines all the steps and the changes to be done.

What was done?

1. Fixed the logic of the code and eliminated the bugs that were preventing the Follow/Unfollow and also preventing the appearance of the “send message” button.
2. Now, the Follow/Unfollow will only appear to the Logged in user and have a status of Following or Follower, thus eliminating all bugs and the annoyance of any user logged in or not seeing these buttons and clicking on them only to generate an error or load a 404 page.
3. Only those who are Following each other will have the “Send Message” feature.

Let me know how it works and if there is anything missed to improve!

In the old version of Pligg there was an aweber module, when users registered, they could subscribe to my newsletter. Is there a new module or one in development?
Hi all, Im new to Pligg and like what I have seen so far.

I know in the admin there seems to be an option to mail all users, but is there an automated way for users to get a daily / weekly email of all new posts that have been added ? Bit like a basic newsletter.

Is there anyone that offers paid help ? I have approached a couple of the posters in here but no luck / no response. I can post on Odesk if not, but prefer someone part of the community.
I'm just about at the point where I need a second webserver and was thinking about off loading the databases to Google Cloud instead which could buy me a year or two right there.

Any experiences, advice or thoughts???? My other option would be a vps server with just MySQL running or a server here at the house running over Comcast (not great).
Id like to add a forum to my site - but something simpler in terms of layout like this "forum" here on Pligg. Is this modified Pligg available as a module at all ? I have lots of experience with VBulletin and Phpbb but not looking for something like that. Something simple and clean. Any other recommendations ?

(Loving Pligg so far as a new user)
