Pligg Support

Dear Pligg Developers,

Do you have a timeline on when we can expect the stable release of Pligg 2.0?

Thanks!
This release addresses a number of issues related to using Pligg in a language other than English. We have tested and bug fixed both the installation process and user language selection feature.
The installation and upgrade script are no longer dependent on the pligg.com server for installation language files. An added benefit is that the upgrade process now performs much faster.

The Simple Messaging module and story comment permalinks are other major fixes included in this release.

Hey guys,

can someone direct me where I can find some juicy tutorials on how to tweak pligg source code?
I need to add a little section with a link to stories.

Thank you

Ondrej
3 files have been edited.

/kmessaging/class.KMessaging_v1.2.3.php
/templates/user_navigation.tpl
simple_messaging_main.php

### class.KMessaging_v1.2.3.php
replaced the word "read" with "readed" as that's what the database field is called.

### user_navigation.tpl
added a button to send a private message to the user's profile page.

### simple_messaging_main.php
changed the function name from GetMessege() to GetMessage() and you no longer need to be friends with a user to be able to send him a message.

Warning: apply these fixes at your own risk. Pligg's official team has not verified this yet.
This is a Fix I discovered and applied successfully.

Hi,

I noticed that the "Tweet this" feature in the Twitter Module showing the "Tweet Sending..." and "Tweet Submitted" images. I kept getting broken image errors.

So I went into the "sendtweet.php" file and found the line at the bottom where it links the images, and noticed that the directory was missing ".".
It was "./modules/twitter/templates/images/tweet_submitted.gif"
Instead of:
"../modules/twitter/templates/images/tweet_submitted.gif"

The same thing was an issue in the templates folder in the "twitter_js.tpl" file.
Set at:
"./modules/twitter/templates/images/tweet_sending.gif"
Instead of:
"../modules/twitter/templates/images/tweet_sending.gif"

Sorry if that was confusing, but if you followed me, and applied the fix, then it should work for you now, as it does for me.
Not a huge deal, but I figure whenever there are broken images it just makes the site seem more janky and unprofessional, so it's good to get things looking as clean as possible.

Blessings!

Ivan
I went to log in to download the final version after having been running the Beta since March, but my login no longer works.

Lost password request said I don't exist.. how awesome?

Does this have something to do with the relaunch of the pligg site? how on earth do I get what I paid for?

I tried searching the forum but don't know what to search FOR ... anyone?

And this captcha is annoying as heck.. :)
