Search Results for "sort"
Fixed the sort by Upvoted, Downvoted and Commented.
1- Now the pagination is accurate and no more blank pages.
2- Each of the above sort reflects the result of the page from where they were requested (I.e. from index page, returns the results of
links with 'published' status. and from New page, with status = 'new.
3- Private groups links no longer show in the result unless the logged in user is a member in those groups. It is filtered in the
if ($group_list) { statement that creates a list of groups ids in which the user is member.

You also need to fix the multile category search
https://github.com/Pligg/pligg-cms/commit/2fcf3bac73246ca27de9e9f23f865153632fe4aa

And for your negative votes to discard a story to work properly, you need to apply this fix too (you can only apply the code modifications in /libs/link.php at the bottom of the page)
https://github.com/Pligg/pligg-cms/commit/d05ccab49c8efbc7b0ba69b2ad6e96056652296b
I am working on the logic and queries in the /libs/search.php and am almost done but I need some feedback to fine-tune the end result.

As it is now, the sort by Most Upvoted, Most Downvoted and Most Commented are not working well.

1- The stories of a private group are included in the result
2- The pagination is erroneous as it is based on the total of the stories and not on the total of the corresponding query result, thus we get empty pages in the pagination.
3- In the Most Commented, the story is displayed for the numbers of its comments, to a maximum of 5. (it should be grouped)
4- The Most Upvoted still displays some stories with votes equal zero

I need information on:

1- Are the 3 above mentioned Sort supposed to return the results based on the Page (I.e. filter to link_status = new if on the New page and link_status = published if on the index/published Page) or keep the filter as it is now: filter for both?
2- Does Most Upvoted mean: “all the stories that acquired votes, including the auto vote if set, or should we filter:
a. If auto_vote is set to true, then we filter for stories having votes > 1 to accurately reflect the stories that have been upvoted. And if auto_vote is set to false then > 0?
3- The Most Downvoted should display the stories with minus (-) votes and not discarded yet, and/or the stories with 0 votes and reports > 0

Please provide me with the information so that I finish fixing the code and submit the solution.

Thank you!
i need sort by highest + value to lowest value, Independent of whether they voted or not for it. but when users sort by "most upvoted" , they just see links that they already vote for link. no all existing links. can i change like this:
most upvoted ==> sort from +inf to -inf
most downvoted ==> sort from -inf to +inf
Hello,

I want to translate a Pligg site to Dutch. Most of it I've managed to translate, but somehow the sorting options of pages won't work correctly..

For example: http://nlwd.nl/pligg/nieuw/ here by sorting options are "Gisteren" (yesterday) etc, which should link to http://nlwd.nl/pligg/nieuw/gisteren/ but links to http://nlwd.nl/pligg/nieuw/yesterday/ .

I don't know where to set this right. I've edited the .htaccess and libs/html1.php files.

I hope someone can help me you here.

Best regards,

Marcel

It seems that all of the templates for Pligg 2.0 have a dropdown sort option. I am trying to get the clickable buttons back for the sort (i.e. most upvoted, all, today, yesterday,...). I've been trying to mess with breadcrumbs, but seem to come up short. My template is bootstrap. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Would it be possible to sort "search results" according to the number of votes, or according to the number of comments?
Hello Chuck,

The demo.pligg.com is already with the 2.0.1 Pligg version? Becauve I've realized (if I'm not wrong) that the sort by categories is still not working properly. If you open http://demo.pligg.com/upvoted/finance/ you'll be able to see that it's sorting the stories by ALL categories, not just by the Finance category.

Thanks!
