Pligg Support

Search Results for "karma"
1- user submit a new link (ex: story1)
2- other users upvote on story1 (ex: user01 & user02) (and maybe downvote)
3- user01 & user02 karma increase +1 (ex: +10 & +15)
4- admin remove story1
5- user01 & user02 karma not change ( user01=10 should be 9 and ...)
ATTENTION YANKIDANK:
I did not commit these updates as my files are not in sync with the Pligg CMS Github because some of my commits were not pulled. I will see how I can sync them.

Meanwhile this is a fix to some bugs in the Karma system.
1. It updates twice the user_karma in the users table upon up-voting a story
2. Does nothing when downvoting a story
3. If a user repeatedly votes a story up and down, they accumulate karma on up-voting and is not offset by the downvoting. Therefore, the "Vote on an article is removed" value must always be set as a negative value equal to what is set in "Voted on an article"

5-user repeat vote and un-vote many times
6-user karma increase ......
how can i stop this problem? in which file,i look for code? pls tell me about file name and code line
How could my Karma on Pligg Support drop overnight from 4090 to 3225 without any valid reason?!

There is something phishy here!!!

It is not the karma that matters, it is the principle. To make sure of what I am saying, open the votes table and you should see the last 2 entries under my user id....
Hi there,

I'm trying to display the $user_karma variable in the header of non-profile pages but it doesn't appear to be populated.

I have tried the solution in this forum thread to no avail: http://bit.ly/WZcJpR and I don't want to revert to hacking the core for obvious reasons.

By the way, I'm running Pligg 1.2.2 and a customised version of the standard Bootstrap theme.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there,

I would like to display the $user_karma variable in the header of every page but it doesn't appear to be generated outside the profile pages. Is there a way to achieve this?

Note: I've seen the following forum thread but the solution does not appear to work: http://bit.ly/WZcJpR

Many thanks in advance for any help.

I have tried a few things but messed up my databases as I am not a computer genius. I know basic programming and would like to know what to do if I want to give users say for instance 1 karma point for each view he/she gets from their post.
