Pligg Support

Hi,

I get an Error 404 in my sitemap. Can you help me how to fix this issue?

stumble.submityourwebsite.net/sitemap.xml

regards,
Soe

Possible Answers

Again, I believe this issue is related to your site not being configured for URL Method 2, which is required in order for you to generate sitemaps using a .xml url. You need to rename your htaccess.default file to .htaccess and be on a server with mod_rewrite enabled.

Furthermore, if you are using the default Pligg sitemaps module the URL would be http://stumble.submityourwebsite.net/sitemapindex.xml

When i change the URL Method 2, register page on site will Error 404 (http://pligg.com/support/question/error-404-in-register-page/#question).

Do you know how to fix this issue?

I think you need to modify the lines (those that refer to the Sitemap module) in your .htaccess since you're on a subdomain:

    ************************************************

    ## Modules

    RewriteRule ^sitemapindex.xml module.php?module=xml_sitemaps_show_sitemap [L]

    RewriteRule ^sitemap-([a-zA-Z0-9]+).xml module.php?module=xml_sitemaps_show_sitemap&i=$1 [L]

    RewriteRule ^sitemapindex.xml module.php?module=xml_sitemaps_show_sitemap [L]

    RewriteRule ^sitemap-([0-9a-z]+).xml module.php?module=xml_sitemaps_show_sitemap&i=$1 [L]

    ************************************************

You can alternatively view your sitemap at http://stumble.submityourwebsite.net/module.php?module=xml_sitemaps_show_sitemap
