I mean why add them at all, as discarded (why include them in the database)? Maybe it's a dumb question, but I don't understand the reason and when I mean incomplete stories then it's usually about everything missing except the url and choice of category.. -from my experience. Doesn't this 'simplyfy' spamming of discarded stories?

Thanks for letting me know.

I haven't the slightest idea what you mean by spamming discarded stories. If they are discarded, they are not visible to the general public and therefore can't be considered spam.

Lets just say there wasn't a discarded story feature. That would mean that those stories get deleted. If they are deleted there is nothing to check to see if the same story gets submitted again over and over. This would be a nightmare spam situation.

"I think you are missing the point. When a user doesn't complete a submission and missises a field, you are suggesting that it would it make more sense to delete all the other information they previously entered and make them start all over again?"

If all the fields is an requirement and if it's stated preferably on the submission page, then yes. but even then some users just submit the url duplicated times. Why, I don't know.., Lazyness and/or ignorance.. perhaps.. Hoping for their submission to go through with just the url... -.-

I think discarded feature is good and is necessary.., BUT not for incomplete stories... For those I believe there is no real point to discard (include in the database in the first place) -if all the fields for the story is necessary. What about just simply don't allow such to be added to database? I will not under any circumstances allow stories with just the url and 'choice of' category to be accepted anyway... Because then I almost need to create the whole story except for the url and make choose category... (because I want stories with full info). While I don't want incomplete stories as discarded (added to the database at all), there might be stories that is discard because of a detail that possibly I want to publish or stories that is simply 'bad', but atleast have all its fields with 'info' Title, description tags.

    To make it short...

->Since I made it as a neccesary to have all the story fields filled with info then I think that it is a neccesary also for the story to be added to database at all...

What I mean with spamming discarded stories then I mean that the discarded stories page, is mostly full of stories with just url and category that I don't believe should be within the database and simply just takes 'place' within admin & database for no reason and,... and some users users (from my experience) make duplicate submissions with just url and category... so the discarded page within admin is full of those type of submissions..

I think you are missing the point. When a user doesn't complete a submission and missises a field, you are suggesting that it would it make more sense to delete all the other information they previously entered and make them start all over again? No.. This is why it's set to discard and presents them with an error telling them that they need to complete all the fields, and once they do they story submission completes and goes through. If they don't go back and finish it, it just stays as a discarded story, because it is by definition discarded.
