Pligg Support

I purchased a large number of Pligg extensions (we paid over $200+ in total) a while back, but when the Pligg website was revamped my accounts (pligg shop account & forum account) seems to have vanished & my username was no longer able to log in.... I contacted Pligg support via the Pligg website contact form some weeks ago, but I never heard back from anyone.... so, I've created a new pligg account in order to ask publicly for some urgent assistance in this matter - Q: will the Pligg support team please provide me with access to the latest updates of the products that I have purchased? Otherwise I will be forced to request that Pligg refund my money.

Possible Answers

We had to draw a line for supporting Pligg 1.0 era purchases, and we chose to coincide that with the launch of Pligg 2 during Spring 2013. When we launched Pligg 2, the whole pligg.com website was re-launched with a new ecommerce system, and with new and updated products.

If you purchased an item in early 2013 through the old "Pligg Pro" shop, I will be glad to provide you with a license for the same product in the new shop (if it still exists). Just send an email to eric@pligg.com with your old Pligg Pro order number, your current pligg.com associated email address, and the original order date.

If you made a purchase prior to 2013, we are not able to assist you with updating your license for free, but we may be able to give you a discount so that you can upgrade to a Pligg 2.x version of a theme or module without having to pay the full price. If you would like to look into this option, please send me an email.

Many items that we sell on pligg.com are listed at a significantly discounted rate. I try to price most items to cover the cost of development (typically about $1000 for a medium-advanced item). If I were to factor in the cost of long term support, I probably need to double the price of most items. The amount of time required to update a module to the latest version of Pligg CMS, plus to maintain functionality through constantly changing third-party API services like Facebook or Twitter, complicates things when trying to maintain a product over multiple years.

I'm sorry that some of you may object to this policy, but it's the most fair system that we could come up with.

Pligg.com's Support area is where you can ask questions and get answers. Just getting started with the Support area? This section describes tips for participating.

Submitting a Question or Comment

By taking a minute to research previous posts you may receive an answer much faster than waiting for a response to a new question. Begin by searching the support section for an answer. Sometimes you may even want to extend your search to the entire pligg.com domain.

If you are unable to find a relevant answer, submit a new question or comment here. Please provide a detailed description and, when necessary, debugging information such as your server environment (a link to a <?php phypinfo(); ?> .php page would be very helpful), your web browser, and any steps necessary to reproduce your issue.

Submitting an Answer

If you have an answer or useful response that you would like to add to a post, you can submit it as a comment which other users will then vote on. Answers are sorted by most popular to least, allowing the best information to climb to the top of the page.

Please read and vote for existing answers before submitting your own, as there may already be an acceptable answer provided. You can use the "Reply" link found within an answer to submit a response to it, in case you want to expand or comment on someone else's contribution.

Including Files or Code

Sometimes it is necessary for you to attach a file or include a snippet of code for others to reference in your response. In most cases, you can .zip up files and attach them to a question or answer using Pligg's file manager. At times though this may fail, and in these circumstances we recommend using a third party host. Below we are including a list of recommended websites where you can share easily share file uploads (or snippets of code) through the web.
