Pligg Support

Reference post http://pligg.com/support/question/groups-role-doesnt-work/#question

I fixed the issue with banned or flagged members being still able to share and do activities as normal. In addition, I am working on fixing the issue of the Edit button being displayed, even for the Group Creator and Group Admin, which is incorrect and leads to no effective actions.

The questions is:

If there is another Admin and Moderators of the Group:

1- None of the privileges are displayed to them
2- The second Admin can ban, flag, change role of the creator of the Group BUT CANNOT deactivate the Creator and Admin of the Group. However, a Moderator can do all!!!

Are Admins and Moderators supposed to have banning, flagging, editing members roles and status privileges the same as the Creator? Are they supposed to apply those privileges even on the Creator of the Group?

Please provide the answers so that I continue fixing the groups features accordingly!
Fixed the sort by Upvoted, Downvoted and Commented.
1- Now the pagination is accurate and no more blank pages.
2- Each of the above sort reflects the result of the page from where they were requested (I.e. from index page, returns the results of
links with 'published' status. and from New page, with status = 'new.
3- Private groups links no longer show in the result unless the logged in user is a member in those groups. It is filtered in the
if ($group_list) { statement that creates a list of groups ids in which the user is member.

You also need to fix the multile category search
https://github.com/Pligg/pligg-cms/commit/2fcf3bac73246ca27de9e9f23f865153632fe4aa

And for your negative votes to discard a story to work properly, you need to apply this fix too (you can only apply the code modifications in /libs/link.php at the bottom of the page)

I think I fixed a small bug in the twitter login app.
It was requireing you to authorize the app everytime you logged in.

In twitter.php I changed the line from "public function authorizeURL() { return self::$TW_API_ROOT.'/authorize'; }"
to
"public
function authorizeURL() { return self::$TW_API_ROOT.'/authenticate'; }"

and that seems to have done the trick.
Now if I can only get facebook to pull in the user image I'd be golden.

Anywho. Check out what I'm doing at allgeek.com and let me know what you think.

Hi,why i cant download the free module.. i already sign in but when in module page the download button still "login to download"..
Recently, the support site is filled with questions that answers have been provided in previous posts!

Moreover, some users are installing Pligg, having no clue whatsoever and do not bother exploring the Admin Panel first and before they hammer the site with questions...It is like buying a house and keep calling the company or the previous owner asking how to turn the lights on or how to move the stairs and change the decor!!!

In their questions, they need everything YESTERDAY and all is either nonsense or need modifying the whole Pligg core!!!!

You want help? Then:
1- Do your homework first
2- Ask a clear question and don't let us hire a psychic to guess what you really want.
3- If you have no clue whatsoever, then please don't expect us to tailor the Pligg CMS to your imagination!!!
I want to add extra comment field. I have tried as following:

1. Created extra column "extra_comment_field" into "pligg_comments" table

2. Added following code to comment_form.tpl
input type="text" name="extra_comment_field" id="extra_comment_field"

3. Added following lines into comment.php

$extra_comment_field= $db->escape($this->extra_comment_field);

And changed following line:

 $sql = "INSERT IGNORE INTO " . table_comments . " (comment_parent, comment_user_id, comment_link_id, comment_karma, comment_date, comment_randkey, comment_content, extra_comment_field, comment_status) VALUES ($comment_parent, $comment_author, $comment_link, $comment_karma, FROM_UNIXTIME($comment_date), $comment_randkey, '$comment_content', '$extra_comment_field', '$comment_status')";

But it is not writing data to db column ? What am I doing wrong, please help me. I am new to php and pligg.

If the Group creator "Banned" a Group member, it has no effect and the banned member can still share stories to that Group. The banned member's profile shows he's still joined in that group.

If the Group creator edit the member to become Admin or Moderator, the edited member still doesn't have permissions as an Admin or moderator.

The Group creator can even banned himself and still he's the Admin of that group. IMO, the original Group creator should not be able to banned himself or set it's role to just Normal & Moderator.

The Last Logged in Users Widget is not working at all. I found and fixed the following (click the link to view the explanation):
