Pligg Support

Hello, I would like it so if a user replies to a comment/post of yours, you are updated. Similar to how when you upvote/downvote a message box appears. Is there anyway to do this? or something similar?

I was able to work and fix all the bugs in the ‘Friend” feature. The linked file, friends-simple-messaging.html, outlines all the steps and the changes to be done.

What was done?

1. Fixed the logic of the code and eliminated the bugs that were preventing the Follow/Unfollow and also preventing the appearance of the “send message” button.
2. Now, the Follow/Unfollow will only appear to the Logged in user and have a status of Following or Follower, thus eliminating all bugs and the annoyance of any user logged in or not seeing these buttons and clicking on them only to generate an error or load a 404 page.
3. Only those who are Following each other will have the “Send Message” feature.

Let me know how it works and if there is anything missed to improve!

I am working on the adding friends and sending private message issues referenced in:

http://pligg.com/support/question/how-do-i-send-a-private-message/#c2124
http://pligg.com/support/question/cannot-follow-members/#c2125

I was able to fix a lot in the logic of the code and got good result. However, In order to be able to fix it completely I need to understand the logic of following and followers, therefore I need your help.

Following is when we add a user.
Follower is when a user adds us.

Now, the way I see it is as follows:

If "A" follows "B" and "B" follows "A" then they can message each other.

Otherwise, they can't and an option to accept (follow) the user will be provided.

Is that correct?

Any other feedback will be appreciated to perfect the system!
Where is Pligg's password encryption script.

I am syncing the registration and authentication with another one of my pages built from scratch. All is good, however I just need to encrypt the passwords identical Pligg's as they're uploaded to the same MySQL table.

wondering how i would go about embedding a twitter generated widget in the sidebar
When non registered users click on the submit link it takes them to error

Warning: set_time_limit() [function.set-time-limit]: Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /home2/politcom/public_html/submit.php on line 2

The same happens to members when they have submitted something. The content goes up, but the error is confusing. Would appreciate help and i apologise if it has been posted before. website > www.polit.com.au
This is a forum not a playground for kids!
Hi there,

I'm trying to display the $user_karma variable in the header of non-profile pages but it doesn't appear to be populated.

I have tried the solution in this forum thread to no avail: http://bit.ly/WZcJpR and I don't want to revert to hacking the core for obvious reasons.

By the way, I'm running Pligg 1.2.2 and a customised version of the standard Bootstrap theme.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Matt W.
Hi there,

I would like to display the $user_karma variable in the header of every page but it doesn't appear to be generated outside the profile pages. Is there a way to achieve this?

Note: I've seen the following forum thread but the solution does not appear to work: http://bit.ly/WZcJpR

Many thanks in advance for any help.
