Long-Term PHP Developer.

Informed Networker is currently looking for one or more talented PHP developers to work on a long-term freelance basis with Informed Networker. Informed Networker is a social news website that utilizes the Pligg CMS to keep Information Technology Professionals apprised of the latest news and articles across the profession's spectrum of knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP, MySQL, AJAX, and the Pligg CMS.
The one or more developers utilized for this position will work in conjunction with other team members to improve the Pligg codebase, design new modules, and enhance templates. While code will be developed primarily for Informed it is Informed Networker's intention to contribute significant portions of developed code to either the main Pligg codebase or as modules. Starting pay will be $25/hr. USD.
Examples of projects on which the selection developer(s) will assist include:
a. Adding in-place editing for admins to stories.
b. Adding a simple CMS system for static pages.
c. Extending and expanding existing modules including Akismet, Captcha, and RSS Importer.
d. Correcting existing bugs - e.g. the messaging system implementation.
When applying please include a resume indicating past and current experience, expected hours per week of availability, and features you would most be interested in working upon listed above or additional areas where you see the need for additional development in the Pligg CMS.
