Pligg Needs More Templates
Yeah, we all know it. Pligg sites out there are desperate for some original templates. Very few people actually take the time to customize their Pligg sites because they don’t have the know-how or the skills to make their own template. We see new requests every day in the forum asking for help and a lot of template job offers, but nobody seems to be taking them. To help solve this problem I’m working on building a site dedicated to buying, selling and bidding on Pligg templates. Before I get the site off the ground I will need to get in contact with anyone wanting to sell their services so that I can list them on the site. I will need your name, contact info (email), what fields you specialize in (php, css, graphics, etc.), your average price range for a template job and an example/portfolio site link. I’m still looking into what software to use for this upcoming site (oscommerce won’t cut it), so if anyone has any ideas leave a comment. Even if you don’t have any experience with designing for smarty sites, we can still use you if you are a rock-solid css’er.

if the template system would be simpler, i’m sure there’d be more templates available. when i look at it, i think of a cms anno 2001, sorry!

Try the drupal ecommerce package . It’s not a “full package” like osCommerce, or Joomla’s Virtuemart, but rather comes in “pieces” so you can take the pieces you need, or even customize your own. They may or may not have a bidding piece, I’m not sure, but there is an API.

I am one of the guys that want to get some templates for pligg.
I want to start some sites with pligg, but I am not original in design.
So I am waiting. Hope to hear more about that, soon.
